Crafters and Traders galore

There will be a fantastic selection (even if we say so ourselves!) of innovative eco-friendly crafters and traders, including: AlePoll’s Art (watercolours, greeting cards and more), Auntie Bezi Kidswear (handmade children’s clothes made in Galway), Chromatisto (natural fibres crochet and upcycled/repurposed-fabric accessories), A Seaside Frame of Mind (seaglass and stone art), Collectionmania.ie (preloved toys and collectibles), Convert (reclaimed/upcycled/end-of-line fabric gifts), Joelle’s Natural Products (home fragrances), Macrame_art_handmade (macramé items), Mini Gardens (Live plant terrariums and preserved moss art), Ros Eó Soap Company (natural soap bars and bath and body products), Nicola Weldon Art and Design (botanically themed art and homeware), and Maggie Bakes (cakes and more).

Information stalls

Several committees of the Skerries Community Association will have stalls, including Sustainable Skerries (SuSk), Skerries Tidy Towns and Skerries Sustainable Energy Community Initiative (SSECI). Find information on seasonal food, pollinator- and biodiversity-friendly gardening and more at the Sustainable Skerries stall, as well as a drop-in gardening clinic!

The Fingal Volunteer Centre will have a stall as well as providing some much-appreciated volunteers. Joining us for a second year are Birdwatch Ireland and Coastwatch (Fingal branches). We are pleased to welcome new participants Kildare Wildlife Rescue, and neighbour Balbriggan’s two groups- Balbriggan Sustainable Energy Committee and Our Waters and Wild. The Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) will also have a stall.

This year’s fair sees an expanded representation from the sustainable energy arena, complementing our own SSECI stall. This includes Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI) and the SEAI Schools Team. Progressive Credit Union will provide information on loans for sustainable energy works to compliment 4 commercial sustainable energy providers- Go Solar, Activ8, and Tungsten Engineering.

Gardening Clinic next to the Sustainable Skerries stall

Then make sure to drop in on Ernestine Woelger, Charlie & Marion Heasman and Máire Jones. They will all be at the Gardening Clinic next to the Sustainable Skerries stall for most of the time the Skerries Eco Fair is open (11 am to 3 pm).
